WM Topics – THE PATIENT’S CORNER

Living with Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia

ABOUT

Horizons
Horizons

This  is a place of individual focus: One for patients and families touched by Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia , also known as Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma. It is a place for sharing things that are important, uplifting and helpful to each individual.

The ideas, thoughts and information come out of the daily discussions held among patients via the Internet discussion forum IWMF-TALK sponsored by the International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF). Practical information and medical guidance is available via the IWMF web site at  www.iwmf.com. Here, we don’t teach or look for money. We simply record thoughts and information that touched our lives deeply.

You will have ideas – or need things that aren’t here. Perhaps there are obvious places to link these pages directly with the IWMF main website. Please share your observations, since this site is flexible and will evolve. With your suggestions we can ensure that patient friendly sites elsewhere on the web are properly identified and links put in place here.

My intention is to make this site an easy-access link to information about treatment and survivorship. I desire also that it exemplify the deep compradeship that exists between cancer patients – across all boundaries. The Bing Center at Dana Faber Cancer Institute (Harvard) provides added depth here, through links to their web sites and allowing me to promote direct access of patients and doctors alike , from any place the web reaches, to direct professional support.

Remember: I am, you are, we are – human!

Thanks for visiting…..
